Zero Tolerance - Violent Patients
Latchford Medical Centre will not tolerate violence or physical or verbal aggression towards its staff.
If this occurs:
- You will receive a warning that may result in you being deducted from our Patient List.
- If a member of staff feels threatened the police will be called and legal action will be taken.
Everyone who works at Latchford Medical Centre is here to help you. Our aim is to be as polite and helpful as possible to all patients.
If you consider yourself to have been treated unfairly or inappropriately please ask the reception staff to contact the Practice Manager, Mrs Katy Taberner, who will be happy to address your concerns.
However, shouting and swearing at Practice staff will not be tolerated under any circumstance and patients who are abusive may be removed from the patient list.
A zero tolerance policy towards violent, threatening and abusive behaviour is now in place throughout the National Health Service. The staff who work in this practice have the right to do their work in an environment free from such behaviour and everything will be done to protect that right.
At no time will any violent, threatening or abusive behaviour be tolerated in this practice. If you do not respect the rights of our staff we may chose to inform the police and make arrangements for you to be removed from our medical list.
