Under the terms of the latest GP contract, the Practice is required to allocate all patients a “named accountable GP”. This is an administrative exercise in order for patients to have a named responsible GP should they require them.
Please note: there is no need to telephone the Practice for this information. Our staff are able to tell you which of our doctors is your “named GP”
Having a “named GP” does not prevent you from seeing any other doctor in the Practice. You do not have to see your “named GP”; you can continue to see who you wish. Your “named GP” will not be available at all times and if your needs are urgent, you may need to discuss them with an alternative doctor.
We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests for GP of your choice.
If you would like to know who your named GP is please contact reception, if you feel that you wish to change your allocated GP, we will endeavour to accomodate your request at reception.
