HIV has moved on a long way from the crisis in the 80’s. HIV is no longer a death sentence. HIV positive people can live normal lives with normal life expectance. With the fantastic medication now available, people can even have unprotected sex and have children without fear of passing HIV.
However the stigma is still very much here. Stigma and fear prevent people from getting tested, resulting in 42% of those newly diagnosed in Warrington being diagnosed late.
We will be holding a HIV Testing Clinic on Tuesday 27th November at 2pm – 4pm. Patients can make appointments or can just call in.
